Where the Work Comes From
I work within a traditional astrological lineage that was built for judgment, not personality reflection. The system I practice passed from the ancient world through Arabic transmission into medieval and Renaissance Europe, where it was used to advise on timing, alliances, risk, conflict, travel, and major decisions. It was never decorative. It was applied.
Olivia Barclay is the central figure in the modern revival of that tradition. In 1984 she devised the first traditional astrology course in the United Kingdom and helped restore William Lilly's Christian Astrology to practical use. Her work brought a stricter, more predictive approach back into circulation after decades of neglect. My practice is grounded in that restored tradition.
What this means in practice is that my readings begin with the seven classical planets and the actual condition of the chart, not impressions, archetypes, or personality profiles. The question is always the same: what is actually happening, which force is carrying the most weight, and what should be done first.
