Timing
The initial rite and every monthly renewal are performed on the planetary day, in the planetary hour. The first hour after sunrise on that planet's day is usually the strongest window.
The planetary hours calculator gives the current hour and the full day for your location.

What a planetary pact is
Traditional planetary magic has two modes. You can petition a planet once, at the elected hour, for one thing. Or you can establish a standing covenant with that planet and renew it every month.
The first is a spell. The second is a pact.
A pact is established in a timed rite, held by a printed token you keep, and renewed twelve times a year. Each pack here carries the covenant text, the sigil, and the rite in full, so it can be worked without the book.
Astrological Magic sets out the method underneath all seven: the four pillars, the timing map, the planetary hours, and the petition structure the rite is built on.
